You are an expert in finance? You keep the overview of all transactions and are confident in taking ownership of reporting and preparation of audits?

We are looking for you as a self-driven professional in a full-time and permanent role at the location in Eschwege, for the expansion of our Finance Team as

Senior Accountant (m/f/d)

• You will directly support the Senior Accounting and Reporting Manager
• You will actively lead the Accountant Payable and Accountant Receivable team to ensure statutory accounting cycle
• You will participate in monitoring compliance with legal tax requirements to minimize financial risks for the company
• You will maintain and reconcile all intercompany accounts
• You will control the Import VAT account and its payments (customs deferral)
• You will update the finance cycle by daily, weekly and monthly cash reports
• You will take care of the accounting of specific financial transactions in the accounting software
• You will be responsible for assisting the external tax office in the preparation and declaration of VAT for the entity
• You will ensure expenses and revenues accruals and provision in accordance with internal procedures for the monthly financial closing
• You will participate in the monthly accounts statement by ensuring the recording of current accounting transactions (quality, deadlines), checking all accounts for anomalies, and making booking corrections
• You will provide support in the statutory audit process and the preparation of the financial statements and tax reports

• You have a successfully completed bachelor’s degree in accounting or an apprenticeship or equivalent
• You have minimum 5 years of professional experience in finance in an international environment
• You have excellent communication skills in English
• You are proficient in Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of the financial software Infor is a plus
• You have a great numerical understanding and analytical skills
